This is a state. Neither democracy, nor kingdom. A hypertextdom. A work in constant progress. Endless construction. Infinite reconstruction. In fact this is a country, not a state. A state is a collection of regulations, while a country is a collection of stories, of texts more or less poetical. A country is a book. This book has its beginning in the middle and spreads in all directions. A free book for a free reader. You pay almost nothing visiting this country, only the time you waste for reading. You can even earn a little for you can always spend the same time doing something even more needless and unnecessary.

END OF THE WORLD according to EMERYK

Hasarapasa hypertext tale in four parts about what may happen one hot summer day in the near(far) future when p-paper is finally replaced with  e-paper... A statue of Emeryk, for centuries pilgriming and moving forward one sand grain per year, will be transported in colourful procession to the mountain top to check whether Emeryk doesn't lie and the world will end then indeed.

year: 2005 (the first part of Emeryk appeared in the Internet in 2002 (www.wici.info); in 2005 it was released on CD (edition of 2000) by korporacja ha!art – it is the first and the only publication of that kind in Poland; and a worstseller as well; for various reasons – one of them is simply lack of hypertext shelf in any bookshop here, so Emeryk could be found among audiobooks, if ever)
