Stock?
Stock exchange?
Stockbroker?
Is any stockbroker here?
No.
Of course, no.
Certainly, no.
Definitely, no.
Undoubtedly, no.
Nor stockbreakers.
And not due to the fact
stockbreakers don't exist at all. Because they do exist. You
haven't
met any so far? You've had bad luck. You must start a big
journey. An
expedition. You can look for them even here, although it might
be
simply just a waste of time. However wasting time can be
sometimes
very useful. And fruitful. And successful. And plentiful of....
Well, there's neither
stockbroker nor stockbreaker here because there's no stock
exchange....
Well, there could be a
stone exchange here. Something like the one I missed so many
times travelling
abroad, to the capitol of the beyond-fence state. Fossil and
stone
exchange. Or a mineral fair. Once a year. Lasting two days. In
spring or in autumn? Maybe in spring. Yes. Spring seems more
probable. However the date doesn't matter at all, because
since I
remember there have always been invincible problems and
obstacles
like double agenda or unexpected travel or just simple
absent-mindedness. So, if such an event takes place here,
maybe then
I'd have a chance not to miss it. What was (or have been) a
reason I
wanted so much to go there? I wanted to have a fossil. A good,
striking, attractive and rare (not really rare, could be even
quite
common) fossil. Certainly, this desire (because it was or has
been a
kind of desire) was to be fulfilled in more ambitious and
sophisticated way: I wanted to find it. I even tried. I was
looking
for it however neither intensely nor regularly. From time to
time I
was visiting an old quarry, that's all. I had no tools. Oh no.
Nothing like that. I didn't want to dig. I didn't want to
excavate. I
wanted to meet
the fossilized being, I wanted to encounter
the petrified (and stoned as well) creature. But nothing
like that
happened. So I hoped to meet it at the stone exchange. Or
at the
mineral fair. I thought it would be easier, much easier. It
turned out to be even harder ..... No, it wouldn't be a
good
encounter. It would be a fake meeting. Not a frank one.
Yes. This is
how it would be. So, there will be no such an event here.
No stone
exchange. And no mineral fair. I should begin to look for
my fossil
among those numerous stones born so abundantly by the
local earth.
Yes. That would be that: I'm walking along a field border
and I spot
a stone lying in a furrow - I pick it up and I find out
it's a
dragon's scale, a leaf fallen millions years ago - - - -
Do I need a stock exchange?
Is there any reason to have here a stock exchange?
Oh, do I need those stories incomprehensible due to their
unclear and
chaotic logic? the kind of stories about “the need to send to
the
prosecutor a notification of an attempted crime, because the
latest
increase of share prices has some features of deliberate and
unacceptable manipulation – who dare to buy in the very last
moment, a minute before closing, an absolutely huge number of
shares
causing an unexpected and violent jump (doesn't matter either up
or
down) of prices thus earning really big money” ..... well, maybe
I
need them to rise the spirit in a gloomy, cold, rainy afternoon,
since it's hard to find a better joke, if the very point of
stock
exchange is just to manipulate the prices and speculate. It's
exactly
like in the case of killing: you only need to know whom, when
and how
many ......
