year:
1997-1998 (imagined, written, printing started) 2001 (reedited, triangled) size: A3 triangle / one finger thick covers: hardbound (dark green linen) + plywood box paper: normal white; green cardboard print: deskjet printer language: trilingual version (Polish-English-Esperanto) open edition: 29 copies made so far (including 18 triangular) Yes,
this is the fourth version. Maybe that is why it is a triangle one. A
square folded diagonally makes a triangle. A triangle unfolded
hypotenusely makes a square ..... And a square has four sides .....
The former versions were triple - three triple versions: each one had
three folders: with VISIONS, with TEXTS, with SKETCHES. While this
one won’t have. Instead it’s going to be trilingual
and maybe
will be composed of seven fascicles. It will be neither magic of
numbers nor even a result of fatal attraction of a certain odd beat.
Maybe just and only a hideous coincidence .... or at least an
excercise in composition geometry. However, now there are no fascicles
and 3+4=32 (though one might expect 34).
Magnificent! Lovely! That was the point.
Yes,
it’s the fourth take to descride something impossible. The
fourth
unsuccessful take. Most likely the fifth take would be unsuccessful
as well even if the book were pentagonal - provided it were done. An
impossible book would be the only successful take. Unfortunately the
triangle book was possible.
